“Tasted blind at Southwold ’06 Bordeaux tasting…a light black cherry, blackberry leaf nose with excellent delineation, if lacking the vivacity I would have hoped for after its impressive showing out of barrel. The palate is medium-bodied, fine tannin and good sense of mineralite, wonderful poise and crispness that is very succulent and for want of a better word, just delicious, even if it is not the over-achiever I once hoped it would become. Tasted January 2010.” (Wine Journal) Robert Parker: “This richly fruity, disarmingly charming 2006 exhibits a deep ruby/purple hue in addition to elegant black currant and blackberry fruit intermixed with licorice and underbrush, a plush texture, sweet tannin, and a layered finish. This is a hedonistic wine to enjoy over the next decade.” (02/2009) 90 points, Neal Martin
