“Fabulous nose of ripe fruits such as blackberries and blueberries. Full body, with velvety tannins and a fresh finish. Polished and poised texture. Intense finish. Best ever from here. Better in 2016.” (2/2013) 93 pts, James Suckling

“A blend of 60% Merlot, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc, this has a ripe, rounded, velvety smooth bouquet that has slightly better delineation than the Clementin du Pape Clement tasted alongside. The palate is full-bodied with dense tannins but good acidity. Tightly coiled but well defined towards the finish. Outstanding!” Tasted April 2011. 91-93 pts, Neal Martin

“A major sleeper of the vintage from proprietor Bernard Magrez, this consistently well-made cru bourgeois from the Medoc displays loads of sweet black currant and cherry fruit as well as hints of licorice, roasted herbs and underbrush. A blend of 63% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc, the wine is medium-bodied, delicious, round, seductive and ideal for drinking over the next 7-8 years.” (3/2013) Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
