“The 2016 Pouilly-Fuissé Aux Bouthières is excellent, unfurling from the glass with a generous bouquet of honeyed peaches and buttered orchard fruit, accented by bright touches of citrus zest and flowers. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, textural and three-dimensional, with bright acids, excellent purity and a saline, mineral finish. It’s an attractively classical Pouilly-Fuissé that’s the highlight of this new producer’s portfolio.” 93 points, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate

Winemaker Notes: Vibrant straw, green-gold hints. Aromas of true complexity: citrus and orchard fruit, lemon, greengage, pear, peach and honey all mineral wrapped with a subtle oak. Linear yet rich. Classic and elegant. Exclusively coming from the terroir ‘Aux Bouthières’, 0.66 hectares (1.6 acre) deep, with clay, non calcareous, derived from residual clays “with chaille.” The ‘vielles vignes’ of Chardonnay, located at the southern end of Burgundy, are planted between 250 and 500 meters in altitude, higher than the others AOC from Bourgogne. Thus, they provide both maturity and freshness to the wines.
