“The 2020 Musigny Grand Cru is intense and focused on the nose with red berry fruit, undergrowth, plenty of wilted violets coming through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins that frame very pure, red berry fruit, a touch of sappiness as it fans out and deepens on the finish. There is something majestic about this Musigny, and the finish is extraordinarily long.” (3/2022)

“A top note of exotic herbal tea combines with an exuberantly floral nose where the whole cluster vinification is a bit more obvious for the moment compared to the prior wines. The incredibly rich, velvety and palate soaking big-bodied flavors are notably more mineral-driven while retaining excellent power and delineation on the incredibly long finish. This is very classy with a superb underlying reserve of material that should allow this stunner of a Musigny to age for the better part of two decades.
