2016 Pétrus – 100 pts.
One of the world’s most sought-after wines in a remarkable vintage that has critics swooning. Neal Martin writes: “The satiny texture is stunning… a magnificent Pétrus that is up there with the greats.” In the same vein, Antonio Galloni calls the vintage: “A regal wine of total presence, the 2016 simply has it all. Beautifully layered in the glass, with stunning aromatics and endless, layered fruit, the 2016 is utterly captivating.”
Price: $2,998.00 per bottle or $18,500.00 for six-pack in OWC
2015 Ulysses Cabernet Sauvignon
Produced by the Moueix family, famous for Pétrus in Pomerol and Dominus in Napa Valley. Antonio Galloni calls the 2015 vintage “a wonderfully complete wine… the interplay of aromatics, fruit and structure places Ulysses among the finest wines of the vintage.”
Price: $800.00, one six-pack
2005 Screaming Eagle, Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Incredibly rare and unique, Robert Parker awarded this 2005 vintage 98-pts, and described it as “possessing a gorgeous, Pauillac-like bouquet of cedar, creme de cassis, licorice, smoke, and earth as well as sweet tannins, full body, fabulous layers of fruit, a noble sweetness, and outstanding length.”
Price: $3,249.00, one bottle only!
2016 Spottswoode “Family Estate” Cabernet Sauvignon – 100 pts.
“A perfect wine… it hits the palate with a full-bodied, deep, powerful texture that carries sweet tannins and blockbuster length. With a stacked mid-palate, straight-up awesome purity of fruit, and a huge finish, it’s as classic and brilliant as it gets.” Jeb Dunnuck
Price: $599.00, one three-pack
2016 Colgin IX Estate Syrah – 100 pts
“…as profound as Syrah gets. Tasting like Guigal’s Côte Rôtie La Mouline (maybe on steroids). Jeb Dunnuck
Price: $930.00, one three-pack, OWC
2016 Paul Hobbs Beckstoffer Tokalon, Cabernet Sauvignon – 99 pts.
“Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard slides seductively out of the glass with the most gorgeous notions of Chinese five spice, plum preserves, crème de cassis and potpourri plus hints of oolong tea, spearmint and cedar chest. Full-bodied, rich, opulent and oh-so-decadent in the mouth, the generously spiced black fruit preserves, the firm, plush frame and the finish are simply epic. 469 cases were made.” (Lisa Perrotti-Brown for Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate)
Price: $980.00, one two-bottle pack
1996 Château Lafite Rothschild – 100 pts
“The 1996 Lafite-Rothschild is unquestionably this renowned estate’s greatest wine. As I indicated last year, only 38% of the crop was deemed grand enough to be put into the final blend, which is atypically high in Cabernet Sauvignon (83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 7% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot). This massive wine may be the biggest, largest-scaled Lafite I have ever tasted. It will require many years to come around, so I suspect all of us past the age of fifty might want to give serious consideration as to whether we should be laying away multiple cases of this wine. It is also the first Lafite-Rothschild to be put into a new engraved bottle (designed to prevent fraudulent imitations). The wine exhibits a thick-looking, ruby/purple color, and a knock-out nose of lead pencil, minerals, flowers, and black currant scents. Extremely powerful and full-bodied, with remarkable complexity for such a young wine, this huge Lafite is oozing with extract and richness, yet has managed to preserve its quintessentially elegant personality. This wine is even richer than it was prior to bottling. It should unquestionably last for 40-50 years.” (Robert Parker 4/1999)
Price: $998.00 – only one bottle available!!!
Graham’s Ne Oublie 130 Year Old Port. 100-pts
One of the most uniqe and rarest presentations we’ve found! This extraordinary wine was part of three barrels dating back to the arrival of Andrew James Symington, the founder of Symington Family Estates, in Portugal in 1882. Now 135 years later, Paul Symington and his family have bottled one of the three original barrels. The family named this treasured vintage “Ne Oublie” or “Do Not Forget.” Each bottle comes in an individually numbered, hand-made crystal decanter designed by Portugal’s leading glass manufacturer Atlantis. The decanter is encased in a bespoke presentation box, handcrafted with the finest leathers by the quintessentially British brand, Smythson of Bond Street, one of the world’s oldest luxury leather goods companies. There is a leaflet included in the box with a detailed presentation of the wine signed by the family members. Less than 50 bottles have been imported in the U.S.
